Yep, well stated. Wind and solar are low density energy sources and I don't think we're ever intended to replace fossil fuels. So far, they've just been layered upon growing energy demand. This is a real pickle and really, the only way we're going to be able to address this issue is an across the board power down. That, however logical, opens a wickedly large Pandora's Box of consequences for our current civilisational arrangements
